IEEE IGDTUW

IEEE IGDTUW started off with its inspiring journey as IEEE IGIT, inaugurated on 6th February 2004 with around 33 members. Now the student branch of IEEE IGDTUW has a strength of about 200 active members. Stepping beyond the common perceptions.
IEEE IGDTUW boasts of providing various platforms to aspiring women engineers with opportunities to host plethora of interesting technical as well as non-technical events, participate in various technical events and attend national as well as international conferences. Our goal is to imbibe technical skills, managerial skills and self-confidence in students via various events that keep the student branch breathing throughout the year, like the IEEE Week, IEEE Day Celebration, and SIGs (Student Interest Groups) to excel in both academic and professional front.
We envision to support and motivate students to become excellent engineers and professionals with our continued endeavour to provide the best of opportunities to all the student members. IEEE IGDTUW continues to uphold its mission “To encourage innovation and technical Excellence amongst young Engineers to achieve socially constructive technical development towards a globally competent India”.

WIE IGDTUW

We at IEEE WIE IGDTUW, aim to motivate young girls to take up technical roles in the society and lead their life as confident individuals while leaving a positive impact on the society. To achieve our goal, IEEE WIE IGDTUW puts in persistent efforts throughout the year with the help of various activities.
IEEE WIE IGDTUW is the recipient of the prestigious Darrel Chong Award, Gold medal for 2016-17 for the “Sparsh Outreach Program” . Sparsh is The Outreach Program by IEEE WIE IGDTUW Affinity Group where volunteers interact with girls from the orphanage, Kilkari .Student Volunteers under Sparsh, regularly visit the Orphanage to share their time with the girls over there and inspire them in every possible way.
More than teaching them any subject, what values more is the experience shared at both the ends. IEEE WIE IGDTUW feels extremely honoured to be able to impact and inspire even a few girls through these activities and plans to continue such activities in the future as well.
